Springstone teachers work in a unique educational environment where classroom size is limited to eight students. In addition to teaching grade-level content, our teacher’s have the opportunity to model and teach appropriate social behaviors. You work in a highly collaborative environment in which staff participate in the development of all students’ academic, social, and emotional goals. Job description & responsibilities
• Create and implement lesson plans in accordance with California content standards
• Model and teach communication and conversation skills (pragmatic language)
• Complete documentation for individualized education plans and attend IEP meetings
• Participate in experiential learning activities
• Assess and evaluate student achievement
• Facilitate and mediate social interactions both in and outside the classroom
Qualifications
• Special Education Teaching Credential
• Experience teaching in your discipline
• Ability to work independently and as a team member
• Facility with educational technology
• Strong communication skills
