Social Justice Club

The Springstone Social Justice Club strives to foster a healthy community within this school and beyond through projects that focus on serving, celebrating, and understanding one another. We aim to cultivate an environment in which everyone feels comfortable and empowered to be their best selves.

This club makes an effort to reach out to the greater community to support it through blood drives, pajama drives, food drives for the betterment of the Springstone community.

Art Club
This club will focus on creating and learning about art: using items that require some basic life skills to complete (pattern use, measurements, planning, following step-by-step instructions). Art club comes up with ideas for the community bulletin board and puts together new installations monthly
Homework Club
Homework club provides students the opportunity to complete work before the next day. While they can get help from staff it is not an individual tutoring session. If a student is struggling with curriculum or homework completion, they may be asked to attend homework club.
Yearbook Design and Newspaper Club
This club creates the Springstone Yearbook and Newspaper!! Students take pictures, poll and interview students, and work on a web-based program to create our final product for a monthly newspaper and the end of the year Yearbook!
Girls' Group

Typically in this population there are fewer girls. This club provides our girls with the opportunity to connect and address challenges specific to them. The club also provides the girls a place to do “girly” things; paint their nails, bake cupcakes, shop, and talk.

Karaoke Club

Do you enjoy music and singing? Join us on Fridays for an afternoon of both! No experience required, bring song requests! We will stream videos and sing along all afternoon long! We look forward to singing with you!

Debate Club
Join the debate club and learn about the back and forth of communication! Debate club will help students develop critical thinking, communication, and public speaking skills. They will also help students learn about current events and global affairs.
Anime Club

Join the Anime club where we do fun things like watch anime movies and discuss anime and manga! Have once in a while events like bring in your manga collection and trade! Show off your knowledge with trivia games, play video games, come join the Anime Fun!

Sports Club

Students will be involved in various non-competitive games and learn the foundation of various games, from basketball, to lacrosse, to volleyball! Students will also work on foundational skills for games and learn how to work with a group!

Gay Straight Alliance (GSA)

For anyone who identifies as LGBTQ+? or is questioning as well as those who are allies. A welcoming club to explore ideas, share your experience and connect with peers.

Student Council

Springstone Student Council needs a representative from each classroom! Each grade will have an election for student representatives to the student council. They will help plan dances, work on Spirit Week ideas, challenges the students may be facing, and work directly with Springstone administration.

Music Appreciation Club
Music Appreciation Club is a space for students to come together and share their tastes, discuss favorite bands, and broaden their music taste while also discussing the personal impacts of various songs and artists in a calm and fun environment. We will explore different genres of music and look at how music has evolved over time. Students are encouraged to share music and connect with music loving peers here!
Yoga Group

Finish out the week strong and cool down for the weekend with some easy and light yoga! Co-taught with a Springstone Student!

Friday Fun Club – Games and More Club
The week is almost over but not quite yet – Let’s get together and play social games and board games while we wind down from the week. We will also go off campus for snacks from time to time. Come to Friday fun to ensure a positive conclusion to your week!
Guys Group
(Male Identifying students and Non-binary)
Join the guy’s group! Gather up you 9, 10, 11, and 12th grade male identifying, gender fluid, and non- binary peers and hop on by! We will be working on fostering relationships, playing games, and connecting with each other specifically in this group.
Drama Club

Students who take part in the drama club will learn the elements of drama, be introduced to the world of competitive interpretation, learn about theater etiquette and the audition process, and partake in individual, partnered, and group performances. This club will primarily be a hands-on and on-your-feet club. Students will use a lot of improvisation during the small activities and learn how to stay in character if any improvisation will be thrown out there.

Strategy Games Club

In one of our more popular clubs, students have the opportunity to learn and practice such games as chess, go, and Risk.

Build a business Club

Build a business: Start a business from scratch! Students create a product or service, set prices and create a marketing campaign as well as planning for the blood drive booth! Previous clubs have made soaps, bakery items, dog bones, and science kits, and last year’s club started lunch canteen service!

Running Club
This club focuses on skills involved in running, including proper form and techniques, warming up, cooling down, plus goal setting. Students will work on pacing as set by staff, with one staff at the front and another at the back. Running will start with an easy 1 mile along the Lafayette-Moraga Trail and will gradually increase in length over the quarter.
