Our 9th and 10th graders kicked things off by volunteering with the Lamorinda Care Collective after helping organize community donations. The next day, they adventured into San Francisco. They got to ride the iconic cable cars and explore the Cartoon Art Museum!

Andre Buckman O7.30.2000 - 10.26.2025

It is with heavy hearts and tearful eyes, we share the devastating news of the passing of our beloved alumnus, Andre Buckman. Andre joined the Springstone community in the Spring of his 7th-grade year and proudly graduated in June of 2019. Throughout his six years with Springstone, Andre shared his humor, creativity, and passion for music. Andre demonstrated determination each day, showing up to Springstone prepared to work hard, connect with his community, and to enjoy every moment.

We will remember Andre for being fearless, kind, warm-hearted, dedicated, brave, compassionate, hardworking, loyal, inclusive, and above all for Springstone- a loving friend. The teachers, administrators, and students who were lucky to work with and learn beside him were deeply impacted by his presence and will continually miss his light.

Our thoughts, deepest sympathy, and gratitude to the Buckman family for sharing him with us and allowing us to work with such a good-natured, tender, loyal, and overall remarkable student and member of the Springstone community. Andre always ran towards freedom, adventure, and possibility, and we hope this continues into eternity...
